From its origins back in Anglo-Saxon times through to the Victorian era, Tamworth Castle boasts a wealth of history.

Come on a journey with us and explore how the Castle developed over the centuries and learn about the families who called Tamworth Castle their home. Find out about the dastardly goings on, rumours of hauntings, along with key historical events which took place in Tamworth Castle.

Timed entry slots are available every 30 minutes until last entry at 2:30pm (Tuesday to Saturday) and 2:00pm Sunday. You can pre-booked either by phoning our box office on 01827 709618 or online via the link below.

Missfit Creations historic costume and vintage fashion: 10 Feb - 31 March
We are exhibiting a selection of costumes from Debbie Murphy’s Missfit’s clothing collection which will be displayed along with replica historic costumes from the castle collection. It will be an exploration of continuity and change around garments over time regarding changing needs, social mobility, and improvements in production. Included in general admission. Additional children's activities will be on 10-18 Feb. More information.
